Terms of Sale
These terms apply to purchases made through this website from Veronika Čuhnova, a sole trader registered in Latvia (see the Contacts page for full details). Please read them before placing an order.
1. Our pieces
Our jewelry is handcrafted in small batches from fine materials. Because pieces are made by hand, slight natural variations in appearance are normal and are not defects.
2. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in euro (EUR) and are final. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to your order.
Payment is made by bank transfer to the account shown on your order confirmation page and email. Please use your order number as the payment reference. Your order is reserved for you while we await payment; if payment is not received within a reasonable period, we may cancel the order.
Some works are available on demand and require an upfront prepayment, as described on the Prepaid works page.
3. Order and contract
Placing an order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email.
4. The red label
Some pieces carry our logo on a red string (the "red label"). You are free to cut off the red label. However, once the red label has been removed, the piece is considered accepted and in use, and we can no longer accept it for return or refund. Please keep the red label attached until you are certain you wish to keep the piece.
5. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason. To do so, contact us using the details on the Contacts page and return the piece unused, in its original condition, with the red label still attached.
This right does not apply to goods that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised, including our on-demand and prepaid works, and it no longer applies once the red label has been removed.
6. Quality, repairs and refunds
We stand behind the quality of our work. We offer free repairs for up to 5 years from the date of purchase. If a piece cannot be repaired, we will issue a refund, unless we have reasonable grounds to believe the piece was damaged deliberately.
These commitments are in addition to, and do not limit, your statutory rights as a consumer under Latvian and EU law, including the statutory guarantee of conformity.
7. Returns procedure and refunds
To return a piece, contact us first using the details on the Contacts page. Approved refunds are made using the same payment method you used, normally within 14 days of our receiving the returned piece. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the piece was faulty or not as described.
8. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. If we cannot resolve a complaint directly, EU consumers may use the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC, www.ptac.gov.lv) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may update these terms from time to time; the version shown here at the time of your order applies.
